Shelter
The 20-unit Bethany Village Transitions Apartments offer temporary,
supportive housing where homeless women and their minor children can
have warm beds and serious help as they make the transition from
homelessness to homes. Families may stay in the residence program up
to twenty-four months.
The facility includes twelve efficiency apartments, four two-bedroom
and four one- bedroom apartments, an activity/kitchen area, meeting
rooms, a laundry, and a central office with full surveillance
equipment. Four apartments are handicap accessible.
The Transitions Residency Program is highly structured, providing
life-skills classes, job training, work service, educational
opportunities, and individualized case management. It is designed to
help each woman gain responsibility for her personal goals.
